Westbury is in Wiltshire, one of the south-western counties of England, and is bounded by Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset.
The town of Westbury is a small town that lies not far from its famous White Horse hill-carving at the western extremity of Salisbury Plain.
The Town Council in its present format originates from the Local Government Review of the early 1970’s, prior to this it was the Westbury Urban District Council.
The Council comprises of 16 Members elected on a four yearly basis. The Town has two Wards (Ham with nine Members and Laverton with seven).

The French twinning reception took place on the 28th of April. The event was a huge success, featuring delegates from both twinning societies, including the French Mayoral team.
