During 2009, The Laverton Trust (a charitable trust managed by Westbury Town) commissioned a research and consultation project that explored the potential for
developing the historic Laverton Building as a multi-use venue and community centre.
The result of this process was the presentation of a detailed feasibility report and outline proposal to the Laverton Trust and Westbury Town Council in November 2009.
The outline proposal for the development of the Laverton was accepted together with plans for the refurbishment of the old school rooms to create new Town Council offices and the installation of a disabled lift.
The Laverton Project is now an active initiative that will seek to involve all of the local community to develop the building as a community resource for use by all!
This web site will provide up to date information on the project’s aims & objectives, plans and progress.
