Things to See & Do
Saturday 30th November 2019
Details below, including the Stall Holder Booking Forms and the Christmas Card and Shop Window Competition Forms
Each year the town council puts up and takes down the town’s colourful Christmas lights and organises the annual switch-on event. The town council also provides the Christmas tree in the Market Place.
For example at the 2018 switch-on event there were indoor and outdoor markets, fairground rides in the High Street, the amazing Snow Lion walking through the streets, food stalls in the Market Place, Santa (of course) with his elves and the evening ended with live music. All in all more than 1,000 people crowded into the Market Place to see the lights being switched on and to watch the short film which was produced and shown on the day. Thank you to Westbury schools and business for getting involved.
The film can be viewed here: Merry Christmas Westbury
