What We Do

Litter & Street Cleaning

The street cleaning teams from Wiltshire Council pick up litter and empty litter bins on a regular basis.  However, littering is becoming more and more prevalent and so the Town Council organises frequent community litter picks in the town.

Come lend a hand and help make Westbury a cleaner, safer and tidier place for all to enjoy

All ages welcome

  • We’ll bring: rubbish bags, litter pickers, hi-vis waistcoats
  • You  bring: gloves if you would like to wear them, any equipment you have and people power
  • Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing

We all want to live in a clean and tidy town, so we are asking for “litter champions” to come forward to help with these community litter picks.  Everyone at any age is welcome.

If we want to “Keep Westbury Tidy”, we are asking everyone to take a look around and really see the litter that is just outside our gates.  We need everyone to be involved and lend a hand to keep our streets and open spaces litter-free!

If you need to contact the Town Council or for more information, please email us on info@westburytowncouncil.gov.uk or ring 01373 822232.
