Things to See & Do
Visitor Centre Info
Westbury Visitor Centre is run by the Westbury Heritage Society. The Westbury Heritage Society has opened the Visitor centre as a place to exhibit interesting local information and artefacts. It is run by people wanting to preserve the heritage of this lovely town for future generations.
While the society has been without a centre for a number of years our collection of artefacts has been held in various storage places waiting for suitable premises to become available. The society has been kept alive by a very active committee and regular bimonthly meetings, social evenings and other functions.
After a failed attempt to buy the Old Westbury Town Hall, The Heritage Society then started looking for any site at all that would give them a presence in the town, that is when they discovered that No 1 High Street would be available. The Visitor Centre is not a museum but a space to display interesting exhibits and exhibitions on Westbury, its history, culture and heritage. It also contains leaflets and information which visitors may find useful.
The centre is open Tues, Thurs & Fri 10am-4pm, Wednesdays 10am-1pm, Saturday 10am-1pm
(Limited) space is available for local artists and competition winners.
They have regular events in the Centre and tickets / information on events in the area.
