The process is overseen and recommendations made by the Electoral Review Committee. Full Council would need to approve any recommendations. Blue Circle Bowls Club Open Day Have you ever played Bowls or fancied a go? If so why not come along to our open Day on Sun 29th May? The club is open to all genders, ages and fitness levels. Childrenโs Street Party A childrenโs street party to celebrate the Queenโs Platinum Jubilee will be held in Westbury High Street on Thursday 2ndย June 2022, from 2pm until 5pm, hosted by the Mayor of Westbury Cllr Sheila Kimmins. 240 children will have the opportunity to celebrate the longest serving monarch in British history at a 50s style street party on the first day of the extended holiday. Organisers promise an afternoon of entertainment, music, games for children and an afternoon tea. Paid for by Westbury Town Council and supported by the Area Board. Beacon Lighting On Thursday, 2nd June 2022, at 9.45pm, the Beacon at the White Horse will be lit in commemoration of the Queenโs Platinum Jubilee. There will be a special bugle rendition of โMajestyโ played at the historic White Horse site. Dignitaries from across Wiltshire, Westbury Town Councillors and members of the public are invited to witness this iconic ceremony which will take place on the same day as the Jubilee tea party being held in the High Street, Westbury.
