Westbury Festival – ‘Butterfly’ Felting Workshop
A fantastic opportunity to give needle felting a go and learn the process starting at the beginning with choosing your wools and finished with a beautiful butterfly that you can use as a brooch. In this 3-hour workshop you will learn how to form and shape the wool and add colour and details to your design. Designed and delivered by the wonderful Paulene Bryant of Baa Baa Bag Chic. All materials and equipment are supplied and the workshop is suitable for all abilities. Westbury Festival – Poetry & Art Workshop
Join popular poet, Chris Tutton, for a performance and workshop on poetry and art. Can a poem be written about an image or a piece of art? The links between the two art forms are explored in this workshop which uses an image of an artwork as inspiration for a poem. Chris discusses Pre-Raphaelite Art and participants are then encouraged to write a poem based on an image from this movement. Chris is a poet, novelist, raconteur, maverick, wit, whose books, performances and workshops have beguiled, amused, entertained and educated for over twenty years. Westbury Festival – Castles & Roses
We have all seen those amazing decorations on canal boats, well this workshop is an opportunity to learn how to paint in the traditional “castles and roses” style.
